This original condition 1969 courtyard home in Scullin was well oriented with north to the front but poorly connected to its large rear garden, with the only access winding through the kitchen and laundry. The central courtyard was paved with a pergola and tinted laserlite over, making it dark year round.

On a tight budget, we converted the existing rumpus room and store room into a functional 3rd bedroom and flexible nursery come study space. We opened up the kitchen and previous 3rd bedroom to connect to the rear garden, and tucked the laundry into a cupboard, with the laundry bench doubling as a coffee station!
